Phi Phi Island , Thailand

Just a short 45-minute journey from Phuket, (Thailand) will transport you to the tropical paradise and famous islands of Koh Phi Phi. With a Kodak moment with every view, it’s the ultimate tropical getaway in Thailand

Fine, white sandy beaches and breathtaking rock formations rising from the vivid turquoise waters that surround the islands will instantly confirm you've arrived in paradise.

Exploring Phi Phi couldn't be more fun, with Scuba Diving , Snorkelling , Kayaking or Climbing being the most popular methods, when taking a break from the silky soft sands.

Attraction @Phi Phi Island:
It’s a conundrum: Just how to class what an attraction is in one of the world’s most attractive locations. The whole of Phi Phi, with perhaps the exception of a few ugly manmade developments, is an attraction but then again it’s all relative.

One of the must-do attractions is the viewpoint while others remain optional. Happily, there’s only one hard-and-fast rule when visiting Phi Phi’s attractions; don’t forget your camera.

Beach in Phi Phi Island :

Phi Phi consists of six small islands south of Phuket which overflow with fine sandy beaches that give way to soaring limestone cliffs to form spectacular scenery.

Add crystal clear water, a refreshing lack of roads, plus a laid-back lifestyle, and it's easy to see why Phi Phi is one of southern Thailand's most popular destinations.

Phi Phi Island by Speed Boat:
We now a believer in the goodness of speedboats; they're speedy. Having made far too many trips between Phuket and Phi Phi by ferry, I feel qualified to claim that this is the best way to travel between islands - at least until I can afford a helicopter.

With the wind on your face and three throaty engines rocketing you over the water, it's like being in an Italian convertible that floats. Classy.

Guiding tours where the tide is major factor is a bit of an art form. Lucky for me, my guide has been at it for twenty years. His name was swept away in the wind, as is bound to happen when making introductions in a speeding boat.

A little detective work and I discovered he calls himself Holger. A transplant from Germany, he's called Phuket home for 20 years and knows plenty about where we're going and when to be there. Balancing water levels with crowd avoidance - and adding a ridiculous amount of informational titbits - he kept things moving along at a good clip.
